“Wassup in a minute” is a TikTok trend of anime edits: characters drawn in baggy streetwear on a white background sway side to side, one after another, to a jersey club remix. It started in late October 2026 and spread within days.
The original edits are usually credited to the TikTok animator @ristyisvalid, who drew Blue Lock soccer players in the fan-made “Atlanta Lock” style (the players reimagined as Atlanta rappers). Other fans quickly remade it with characters from other anime.
The name is a mishearing: the sound actually says “wassup, been a minute”. There is also a dance version of the trend, where people dance to the same sound on camera. This site makes the anime version, with you as the character.

The sound is a jersey club remix by the producer zbee of “From Time”, a 2013 song by Drake featuring Jhené Aiko. The line people hear as “wassup in a minute” is Jhené Aiko singing “wassup, been a minute”. The remix’s bouncy jersey club kick is what makes the characters sway.
